Come visit the resort voted 4 time "Best Resort" on the Illinois River. We were first time RV campers and the staff was super friendly, helpful, and understanding. Perfect place for older rigs and families, no judgemental people here.

We offer a personal touch to all our guests with the serenity of a vacation. We look forward to becoming your Illinois River destination. It is interesting to read about your experience Monica, However you say that this is a terrible park, but yet you fought every inch to not leave. And as far as your "compliments" in reqard to the manager, that is completely inaccurate and you know that.

But they misplaced my reservation, tent sites are right under a streetlight that was on 24/7, no firepits, loud traffic noise. It’s not a great place to camp, but it served its purpose for being a cheap place to sleep for the night. Cable - Offers cable tv service to the RV sites. There is no guarantee that the cable works, that you will get all the channels or that a digital box may or may not be needed. If you need cable tv at your campsite this destination might be a good choice.
You're only steps from your boat and the waterfront.

Badin Lake Hiking Trail follows Badin Lake's shore for half of its distance and loops back through hardwood forests to the boat ramp.
You will receive the newsletter no more often than once a week. We are committed to providing accessible customer service. If you need an alternative accessible format of this content, please contact us. Please note dogs are permitted in cabin 224. Pets are not permitted in any other camp cabins.
We stayed here because of the convenient access to Mill Pond, Blue Spring, and Spring Creek. The park is fairly well kept but the grass around our camp site was almost 6 inches tall in some spots. It says the camp has cable but does not.
From Camping Sonnenstrand you have a magnificent view of the Rhine Valley and the heavy shipping traffic on this river. This is a good place to stay for a day or two. Sites are on grass/dirt and not the most level.

But what makes us so special are our videos. See what the parks actually look like. We offer the best cabins and secluded camping on the river. We also have rafts, canoes, and kayaks at an unbeatable price.
